For long(1 year) storage you can put it on the freezer
for medium(3 months) storage just put it in the refrigerator
that is if your in a tropical country like mine
just make sure to leave it at room temperature for at least an hour for films stored at the refrigerator and at least 5 hours if its from the freezer before using it. btw make sure it's in a sealed container...
*Store it in this manner, only if the film is nearing it's expiration date or you just have a ridiculous pile of unused film which in no hurry to be used.
There are degradation of course, especially if its a colored film, some colors are more pronounced than others, on some it totally overwhelms the photo.... There can also be scratches or loss of pigments, but for me, if I'm going for the vintage film, monochrome, b&w it's totally fine with me.
